Full speed towards…the National Post?!

Publié dans "Full Speed Ahead" award le June 25th, 2008
Dion’s Green Shift will indeed lead to a richer, fairer, greener Canada. (…)The arguments against the Dion plan advanced by the National Post in an editorial on June 20 (”The Liberals’ tax shift”) are all either dead wrong or misguided. (…)

At least in principle, our Green Shift is supported by virtually all market-oriented economists. (…)

Isn’t it fun to listen to John McCallum? He’s printed in the National Post to bury an editorial printed on the National Post. All the arguments of Read the rest of this entry »

Full Speed Ahead

Publié dans "Full Speed Ahead" award le June 15th, 2008

Yup, you’ve been waiting for it, so here it is: The most recent Full Speed Ahead award.

One staple of anti-Semitism has been that Jews have taken over the world, or are about to. Now Muslims are being accused of the same.

Haroon Siddiqui starts his comment this way. Of course I shouldn’t be reading the Toronto Star, but it’s important to know what’s being read in Canada. Like my brother in law who reads the Mop and Pail because it’s nice and thick, so he thinks he’s getting balanced coverage.

Siddiqui mentions free speech and the horrible things we say against muslims, but let me focus on his opening words.

One staple of anti-Semitism has been that Jews have taken over the world, or are about to. Now Muslims are being accused of the same.

Jews having taken over the world, unless you consider the blood libel, is the ONLY staple of anti-semitism. I believe the first mention of this was in “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, which was a Russian propaganda tool. It has no basis in fact. The Jewish Lobby is present today in many countries, and they’re very active, but to believe they control the world is a joke.

After the Russian Revolution, factions connected to the White movement used the Protocols to perpetrate hatred and violence against the Jews. The idea that the Bolshevik movement was a Jewish conspiracy for world domination, plus the fact that some top Bolsheviks, particularly Leon Trotsky, were Jews, sparked worldwide interest in the Protocols.

It was a joke in Hitler’s time, it’s a joke today.

One staple of anti-Semitism has been that Jews have taken over the world, or are about to. Now Muslims are being accused of the same.

I don’t think muslims are being accused of the same. Jihadis are being accused. Terrorists are being accused.

I hope I don’t have to prove that there are terrorists in the world, and that “jihad” does not mean “self struggle” when fatwas are put out. Somalian leaders don’t declare jihad unless there’s Ethiopians to kill.  It never has anything to do with self-struggle when we hear about it in english.

Somalia is one small space in the world, calls for jihad have been heard around the arab world.  It NEVER has anything to do with self-struggle.

The fact that “now, Muslims are being accused of the same” may have something to do with Al Qaeda and bin Laden. Since 1993 and 2001, the United States can’t ignore the fact that muslim radicals are in place, ready, willing and able to carry out deadly attacks. Support for bin Laden isn’t limited to arab or muslim nations, polls in the UK have shown that british born muslims agree with the murder of kuffars.

So, when I consider these words…

One staple of anti-Semitism has been that Jews have taken over the world, or are about to. Now Muslims are being accused of the same.

…all I can say is this: Anti-Semitism does not, nor has it ever had any justification.

Hatred towards terrorist radicals who just happen to be muslims is well documented, justifiable and probable recommendable.

It’s sad to see Haroon Siddiqui use his freedom of speech to spread lies. His perception of reality is distorted and misleading. Muslims are sometimes targetted for no reason, but the hate crimes are still lower for Muslims than they are against Jews. Since there is no reason to target Jews and that they’re still attacked more often, I DECLARE THAT MUSLIMS ENJOY THIS IMPRESSION OF VICTIMHOOD THAT THEY NURTURE CONSTANTLY.

Haroon Siddiqui, you can’t say that Muslims are accused of the same because unlike Ahmadinajad, Nasrallah and bin Laden in the Muslim world, there are no Jews out there saying that one day they’ll take over the world.

Congratulations, here’s your prize.

Suzuki slams the NDP…

Publié dans "Full Speed Ahead" award le May 19th, 2008

After hearing the NDP’s criticism of Dion’s plan, Suzuki said: “I’m really shocked with the NDP with this. I thought that they had a very progressive environmental outlook.”

“To oppose (the carbon tax plan), its just nonsense. It’s certainly the way we got to go,” he said Sunday on CTV’s Question Period.

I’m hearing accusations here.

Progressive=Good, and NOT Progressive BAD.

More taxes=Good, less Taxes = BAD.

Putting fear in the hearts of Canadians=Good

Talking about the 15 000 years of global warming caused by the sun=BAD.

For all this misinformation and your agenda to create more taxes taken from our pockets for your own needs, here’s your award.

The Full Speed Ahead Award is, once again, handed over to David Suzuki. Congratulations, you managed to shoot down people on your own side for not agreeing with you across the board. Well done.

Insurgents attack Canada from abroad…

Publié dans "Full Speed Ahead" award le May 5th, 2008

Well, actually, they’re Al Gore detractors from Chicago, sending information that should be taught in our schools instead of Al Gore rhetoric.

OTTAWA — An American think tank has sent out more than 11,000 brochures and DVDs to Canadian schools urging them to teach their students that scientists are exaggerating how human activity is the driving force behind global warming.

The Chicago-based group, the Heartland Institute, said its goal is to ensure that students are provided with a “balanced” education about “an important and controversial issue,” but critics, including a leading climate scientist, described it as a campaign of misinformation.

The mail out, sent in February, included results from international surveys of climate scientists conducted in 1996 and 2003 along with a 10-minute DVD called Unstoppable Solar Cycles, The Real Story of Greenland.

“It took me a while to figure out what they were up to,” said Eric Betteridge, who teaches at Hillcrest High School in Ottawa.

The Heartland Institute says that it purchased a database list of addresses of 11,250 schools from across the country, including about 10,000 private or faith-based schools, for a massive mail campaign aimed at Canadian children in all provinces.

“All the kids in our schools are being taught that climate change is a serious crisis and that we’ve got to reduce our CO2 and they’re being taught (that) quite falsely,” said Jay Lehr, the science director at the Heartland Institute who sent the package. “We would like to educate people and basically give them the other side of the issue, so we send out materials only in hope of a little balance.”

The Sierra Club of Canada said that the Heartland Institute’s information was far from being balanced.

Gee, you think?

“It’s alarming that an American think tank is distributing misinformation on the most important issue of our time in Canadian schools, to actually create an illusion that there is a scientific debate,” said Emilie Moorhouse, a spokeswoman for the environmental group.

There IS, you stupid cow!

The brochure and DVD said that scientists were “deeply divided” about “the notion that climate change is mostly the result of human activities.” It also suggested that the sun was the main factor behind recent warming recorded on the planet.

The sun heating up the EARTH?!  BLASPHEMY!!!  Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard!

The package does not make reference to the conclusions reached by governments and scientists 1from around the world in their 2007 assessment of the latest 2peer-reviewed research on climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change wrote in its summary of a 3Nobel Peace Prize-winning report that global warming is unequivocal and that there is a 90-per-cent chance it is being caused by humans.

After reviewing the Heartland Institute package, Betteridge said he was left feeling both amused and distressed that someone would try to promote this material to children in the classroom.

“I think I would be concerned because it was well written, and if somebody hadn’t been aware of what the 4general consensus is among climatologists about global warming, you would begin to think, ‘Wow, somebody’s giving me the wrong story here.”

Actually, this constitutes all the key elements to receive my “Full Speed Award”.

So be it.

Dear Emilie Moorhouse and Eric Betteridge and all of you associated with the Sierra Club of Canada, you have been awarded the “Full Speed Ahead” award. Congratulations.   You’ve earned it.   Now either shut up or start telling the truth to our children.

1-There are also many morons around the world, that doesn’t inspire confidence as such.

2-Nazis reviewing a pro-nazi report would also constitute a peer-reviewed report, not exactly what I would call “evidence”.

3- Nobel Prize? Jimmy Carter has one of those. So do Yasser Arafat and Al Gore. What does that prove? Shit, Adolph Hitler had one too. If anything, having one of those ensures me of detecting a threat to society. Go down that list and tell me if they’re models of “acceptable behavior”? A report that is associated with Nobel’s prize in any way won’t convince me at all.

4- CONCENSUS IS NOT SCIENTIFIC PROOF. Once upon a time, there was a concensus that the earth was flat, and anyone who disagreed ended up in jail. That’s why we’ll keep debating you morons until we’re blue in the face, no matter how hard you want to shut us up. (add tirade of cursing here)!

Full Speed Ahead award: CBC

Unbelievable.  Check this out, a fluff piece from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation…

Buying ammunition in Canada requires a firearms licence, but some people make their own ammunition, and gun and gang experts say that has led to a black market in the sale of bullets.

Note that the experts are not mentioned.  Only Deputy Chief Tony Cooper is mentioned below, and he’s just stating facts about reloading, NOT ABOUT A BLACK MARKET.

“It would be nice if people had to have a licence to buy the components; currently they don’t,” said Deputy Chief Tony Cooper of the Ontario Firearms Office.

If you’re over 18, it’s legal to buy all the components needed to make bullets — primers, gunpowder, casings and bullet tips. For about $100, a person can buy enough supplies to make 1,000 “hand-load” homemade bullets.

“It’s very common … for people to hand-load. I would say it’s been something that’s been done for a couple of hundred years,” said Cooper.

See?  Cooper is actually confirming that hunters have been around for a couple of hundred years, and some do reload their own ammo.  Nothing surprising there.  Note that he doesn’t say anything about crime, gangs or a black market of any kind.

He says hand-load bullets are commonly used by hunters and target shooters.

The fear is the hand-load bullets will get into the hands of the wrong people.

Cooper said “it’s the exception, certainly not the rule,” but it is a concern.

Who’s fear?  For whom is it a concern?  It is Cooper?  Nope, he would have said so and would have been used as a witness by the CBC had he said so.

No one knows how many hand-load bullets make it onto the streets because there has never been an audit of casings from crime scenes.

WHAT?!  How can this be a news article if it holds no news?  There’s no data, no dates, no stats, no photos and certainly no link of any kind between reloaders and crimes.  Let alone a black market.

Like I said:  Unbelievable.  My taxpayer money being wasted on disinformation.  Nice.

For this and many other biased reports, you’ve earned yourselves the prize.

Today’s “Full Speed Ahead” award goes to the CBC/Radio Canada.  Congratulations.

Go Habs Go!!!

Tonight, the Montreal Canadians are facing the Boston Bruins in their first game of the 2008 series.

Photo by red collar, all week long, I’ve seen cars everywhere flying the Habs flag.

Montrealers are psyched. Everyone knows about it. Even those who haven’t watched a game all season long (ie: Me) are proud to see the Habs making the series, ready to kick ass.

But…

It’s a question of respect,” Tremblay told the LCN television network. “They have pasted the fire hall with graffiti and we think that sets a bad example.”

Montreal’s mayor wants the firemen at this station (#25) to wash away the decoration they put on their building.

The mayor of Montreal is retarded. At the very least, he doesn’t realise how much money is invested each year to promote tourisme for our great city. Showing pride for our team is not as valuable as showing respect for our soldiers

…but it should be encouraged if not simply permitted. What’s your problem, man?

Why can’t we show pride any more?

Are gays and lesbians the final frontier of pride?

The last time I mentionned Gerald Tremblay, he used the 1% GST reduction to announce his own plans: Raise taxes in Montreal and maybe build highway tolls. So when we learned about the taxes going down, Montreal’s mayor was telling us we’d be paying a whole lot more that that.

So congratulations, you’ve put in the effort once more, so you clearly deserve the “Full Speed Ahead” award. May you head straight for a chasm, you weirdo.

The union, for its part, is flabbergasted that the mayor would take exception to any public show of support for his city’s hockey team and steadfastly said they will not remove the Canadiens’ colours from their trucks.

“We find it incredible that the mayor of Montreal doesn’t want to support the Canadiens,” union president Michel Crevier told the Gazette. “We feel pride for the Canadiens because they are Montreal’s team.”

“We’re not removing our flags,” said Joel Lapointe, 40, who has worked as a firefighter for 20 years. “This is nothing negative. We’re really doing this to support the Canadiens, because we’re proud.”

Vive les pompiers de Montréal! Merci pour vos services, merci pour votre fièreté bien placée.

Prix En Avant Toute: Al Gore

Publié dans "Full Speed Ahead" award le April 4th, 2008

Al Gore est à Montréal aujourd’hui.

Une question pour lui:

Vous êtes pas tanné de nous mentir?

Je recommande Timothy Ball comme référence.

“I was as opposed to the threats of impending doom global cooling engendered as I am to the threats made about Global Warming,” Dr. Ball wrote in his CFP article. “Let me stress I am not denying the phenomenon has occurred. The world has warmed since 1680, the nadir of a cool period called the Little Ice Age (LIA) that has generally continued to the present. These climate changes are will within the natural variability and explained quite easily by changes in the sun. But there is nothing unusual going on.”

Prix En Avant Toute: Louise Arbour

Prix “En Avant Toute”…

Those of us who supported disengagement must now admit that it created more problems for Israeli security and diplomacy than it solved.

Moreover, it now transpires that Hamas didn’t just engineer the recent “humanitarian crisis” in Gaza, but also plotted demolishing the Philadelphi Corridor fence separating Egyptian from Palestinian Rafah.

Grrrrr…

If the hat fits, wear it.
